Bhavna Limbachia in 'Rafta Rafta'
Bhavna Limbachia has been confirmed for Bolton Octagon's production of Ayub Khan-Din's Rafta Rafta, a heart-warming comedy set in Bolton's close-knit Asian community.
Rafta Rafta is based on Bill Naughton's play All In Good Time and Bhavna will be playing Vina Patel.
The play runs at the Octagon from Thursday 13th May - Saturday 5th June and then transfers to the New Vic theatre in Stoke. For more information go to the following links:

Therase Neve in Northern Stage production of 'Apples'
Therase Neve has been confirmed for the Northern Stage/Company of Angels co production of Apples.
Adapted from the Richard Milward novel, the play traces the exploits of a gang of British teenagers through the eyes of two narrators: Adam: a shy and neurotic recluse, who spends most of his time in his room listening to records and fending off the rages of his father, and Eve: the object of his lust and affection (played by Therase).
The play will embark on a national tour from June 2nd 2010 so watch this space for more details of venues and dates.

Annamarie Bayley in Re:Play Festival
Urban Talent actress Annamarie Bayley will be appearing in 2 plays at this year's Re:Play Festival at Manchester Library Theatre.
Care Takers by Billy Cowan focuses on the meetings and confrontations between a Deputy Headteacher and a young, idealistic new teacher (played by Annamarie) who is convinced of bullying in her classroom.
Can We Stop It There? is a ten minute short set at a play rehearsal and was first perfomed as part of the J B Shorts in 2009.

Steve Murphy in Children's Radio Drama
Urban Talent’s Steve Murphy is to co-star with Coronation Street’s Vicky Binns (Molly Dobbs) in a new Christmas children's adventure radio drama being launched on Sunday 20th December via The Independent on Sunday newspaper.
The radio adventure, which is directed by Mike Heath, is the third production to be promoted and premiered via a national newspaper’s website and marks the launch of Independent Drama following the cementing of a relationship between the paper and award-winning production company, Made in Manchester (MIM).

Barney Harwood will be presenting on Children in Need live from the National Space Centre in Leicester this Friday 20th November.
There will be fun and fundraising and free entry after 18:00 to the attractions and a Pudsey Bank for donations.

Trevor Williams confirmed for new Ken Loach feature film
Trevor Williams has been confirmed for the latest feature film from acclaimed director Ken Loach.
Trevor has been booked for the role of ex-soldier Nelson in upcoming film Route Irish and has filming confirmed in both Liverpool and Jordan.
Ken Loach is most famous for his 1970 film Kes and the 1996 Palme D'Or winner The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

Barney presents 'Evolution' Prom this weekend
Barney Harwood will be presenting a Darwin-inspired Prom for kids this Saturday and Sunday at The Royal Albert Hall. Conductor Charles Hazlewood will lead listeners from prehistoric Earth to outer space with John Williams's soundtracks to Jurassic Park and Star Wars – and also uncover the bird kingdom (with Delius's On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring) and insect life (in Arvo Pärt's If Bach Had Been a Beekeeper).
The Prom will be broadcast live on Radio 3 this Sunday 2nd August at 11:00am.

Return of Jimmy McGovern's 'The Street'

Emma and Sinead are supporting the Manchester Midnight Walk
Urban Talent's Emma Edmonson and Sinead Moynihan will be taking part in St Ann’s Hospice Manchester Midnight Walk – a 10km walk around Manchester City Centre starting midnight, Friday 12th June 2009, from Manchester Central.
Founded nearly forty years ago, St Ann’s Hospice has grown to become the largest hospice in Greater Manchester and a key part of the North West community. A recognised centre of excellence for specialist palliative care for people over the age of eighteen, St Ann’s Hospice helps those people who have progressive and life-threatening illnesses – as well as supporting their carers and families.

Anthony Berry in 'Awaydays'
Urban Talent actor Anthony Berry can currently be seen in feature film Awaydays which was released at cinemas nationwide on 22nd May. Awaydays is based on the bestselling novel by Kevin Sampson.
Set in the post-punk era in the North West of England. Paul Carty (Nicky Bell) is 19, good-looking, funny, clever - and bored out of his mind. Anthony plays a goth 'young Pete Burns' character.

Barney presents 'Newsround' bereavement special
Gone, a powerful and moving documentary presented by BAFTA award-winning presenter, Barney Harwood, tells the story of four children – all of whom have lost someone they love.
All four of the children in Gone contacted Newsround through the programme's website after the show asked children if they felt able to share their stories of bereavement. Hundreds of other young people also got in touch to share their stories with the programme. Previous Newsround specials which have covered difficult subjects in a sensitive and accessible way include recent reports on knife crime and divorce.
Gone will transmitt on BBC1 tonight at 4:55pm.

Lorraine Hodgson in 'The Naked Truth'
Urban Talent actress Lorraine Hodgson will be appearing in the hilarious comedy The Naked Truth with dates confirmed for Manchester's very own Opera House.
Tailor-made for Women, The Naked Truth, is the hit comedy Play from Dave Simpson, the writer of the smash-hit comedy Girls Night Out. The show follows 5 women as they struggle to conquer pole dancing for a charity event and also stars Lisa Riley, Julie Buckfield and Trudie Goodwin.

Saira moves in to 'Hollyoaks'!

Barney takes the BAFTA!
Urban Talent are thrilled to annouce that our very own Barney Harwood has won the Children's BAFTA for his presenting on CBBC's Smile!
Barney was up against Tricky TV's Stephen Mulhern, Art Attack's Neil Buchanan and CBeebies show Something Special presenter Justin Fletcher.
The award show took place on November 25th at the London Hilton hotel and Barney says he's so excited he still hasn't slept!
